I’m thinking of doing a short solo trip to either SF or LA in the summer. I know I know the SF summer weather.

My real question is whether the drugs and crime are as bad as everyone says (I.e, needles, shit, homeless people) all over the place.

If anyone could give me a comp to NYC, Boston or Baltimore, that would be a helpful reference
