Where to buy *leather* lamellar plates in Canada?
Hello! I have been wanting to make leather lamellar armour for a while but I think I would go crazy if I had to craft 300+ identical plates before I can even start lacing, so I am trying to find sellers but a few searches have been inconclusive and most sell metal or plastic places instead of leather. The style of plates doesn't matter extremely but D shaped "Wisby" plates would be preferred.
From what I can tell, lamellar armour needs ~400ish plates, and the idea of paying ~$600 for the plates alone makes me wonder if it'd be better to just buy the armour pre-made at that point.
It doesn't need to be combat quality, I just wanted to get a community perspective!
