Hey. Hope you're all doing great.

My girlfriend (23F) was diagnosed with PCOS earlier this year and a month ago was prescribed Metformin, that's the only med she's taking for PCOS, alongside exercising and some vitamins like Vitamin C and omega 3. She does not have insulin levels issues.

The thing is that these last 2 weeks she's been experiencing a lot of crying and emotional sensitivity that is not normal for her and we're beginning to worry whether the Metformin could be affecting her and we don't know if could be healthier for her to stop taking them. She decided to not take it today and her next medical appointment is in 2 months.

Can anyone give us some insight on what could be going on? It's it normal? Should she quit Metformin? Is there a way for her to keep taking them without feeling sad and down?

Thank you all in advance.
