I have a 1998 honda crv 2.0L W/315k km on it, was driving and the temp gauge shot all the way up, so I shut my AC off and rolled down my windows ti’ll i got home. Parked and noticed smoke coming from the engine bay and coolant leaking around passenger side of the engine bay. Smoke was coming from around the ignition distributor I believe, and the purge valve canister was kinda drenched in coolant (idk if that matters). Barely was any coolant in the reservoir. Left the car to cool off and the coolant level on the rad wasn’t at the correct level and noticed some sort of grey slimy sludge like substance thinly coated around the inside of the rad cap area.
I am not too sure, based on a quick look on the internet it’s saying it could be a failed water pump, blown head gasket etc and i’m just not too sure. If anyone knows, please let me know as I kinda am tight for money.
