Mental health & hiring

Hello everyone, I've been wanting to enter the FAA for years now and I'm finally in a good position to do so. However, I've had a lot of people close to me die over the past year and it's been affecting me a good bit so I've been considering grief therapy. The only way I can afford this right now though is to be diagnosed with grief/bereavement. I've heard that this isn't exactly favorable, but shouldn't be a problem so long as it's shown to be temporary. Has anyone actually made it through the process with something similar? I don't want to accidentally shoot my dream in the foot before I even make it past the first step. Any advice is appreciated, thank you.
