So this happened… made the mistake of starting a print and then leaving to do some shopping. I stuck around long enough for it to start printing the first layer but didnt stick around long enough. it seems to have come undone after the first layer or two. Came home to find a massive wad of filament blobbed around the extruder. what you see here seems to be stuck to the plastic shroud and it’s wedged itself inside the assembly.

I tried heating the hot end up again for a half hour and the blob wouldn’t budge. Wondering what’s the safest way to remove this gunk?

I did try searching but most of the spaghetti posts don’t seem to be dealing with the same scale of failure as this appears to be.
