PRS vs Cort Advise

I’ve been thinking a lot about this, but I’m still in two minds. I play from metal to J-rock and I want a very round guitar (or the closest I can get to one).
I'm thinking about buying a used PRS SE Custom 24 or a new Cort G300 Pro (same price).
I like the PRS because: the tone and the sustain are very nice, PRS is a renowned brand and easier to resell, and it seems like a very versatile guitar. I had one for a couple of months and it felt very nice.
The Cort has better specs (stainless steel, roasted maple, Seymour Duncan), it seems to "feel" very fast and modern, and, of course, is new.
Should I play safe and go for the PRS tone even if the high gain is not outstanding, or should I risk it and go for the Cort, which maybe has a worse quality but great specs overall?
