I have a relative from the 1800’s that was born in Canada according to an 1850 US census. I’ve had some help on here already. They may have located where he was born in Canada but they suggested I find someone who has knowledge of Vermont marriage records.

I am an American. I was working on my family tree in ancestry and found that my 4th great grandfather was born in Canada in 1800. This is based on a 1830 census in New York. I am struggling to find any further information. Just wondering if anyone has any insight or ideas on how to get his information. I’ve used all of the resources I could find. Also, is it possible for this to be enough to get citizenship?
