hi r/financialcareers, for context, im a highschool senior in Canada hoping to break into US high finance (IB, AM, or PE). i flopped during the latest application cycle (Waitlisted from Yale) and will be attending Rotman Commerce - UofT on a full ride. I got into Ivey and Queens (2 CA semi-targets) but opted for the full ride instead for financial reasons.

my question is, is it possible or practical to aim for bulge bracket banks (JPM, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, etc) straight out of university? what can i do to best increase my chances?

thank you in advance for any advice and suggestions, any brutal wakeup calls would also be greatly appreciated!
