I’ve been shopping for my first car, looking to buy something for around 10-12k, prioritizing safety, reliability, and gas mileage. I found this offer of someone selling their personal car on Facebook Marketplace for 4,300. I’ve mostly been filtering out options below 5 or 6k because I figure they’re either junkers or scams, but this car is a 2013 Subaru Impreza 2.0I with 90,000 miles. The seller said it had new breaks and a recent oil change and that she needs to get rid of it fast because it’s her birth month and she doesn’t want to register it because she’s not using it anymore. Should I go for it? We have a time set up to meet so I can take a look. I ran a Carfax and everything looked fine; it’s had two owners and one accident with minor superficial damage, and I don’t want to ask her to jump through any hoops like taking it to a mechanic to get it checked out when the deal already seems too good to be true, but I don’t have any car savvy people in my life and I’m not sure what red flags to be looking out for. Getting a decent car at this price point would be huge because I could afford it out of pocket and avoid having a monthly payment, but I don’t want to sacrifice safety or reliability. Any advice is appreciated!

I'm new to budgeting, and I'm trying to find the most simple free budgeting app. I've calculated with my income and my non-option expenses (rent, student loans, car payment, ect.) how much I have left to spend a month. I'm looking for a simple budgeting app where I can input that amount monthly and log transactions manually.
