How do you do the jump to mythic raids as a tank?
So a bit of a weird question I guess but genuenly asking how do you do such jump. I have my dps character for my guild and all that, but Im honestly a tank player, I get so much more joy playing tank, doing my M+ and all that, but raiding wise, I cant tank for my guild we have already our tank players, been trying to pug some raids, so far after a lot of tried managed to go 6/9H as a tank (havent tried the fallen king, alleria and lura but im on it). So naturally wanted to try going mythics, no guild seems to recruit tanks, I dont really want to go into the cycle of starting as DPS then months later and with a ton of luck maybe, just maybe be someone to consider to be the new tank as I seen a lot of people in other posts talk about and rpobably Im are already experiencing in the guild Im in. Around 95% of pugs only admits CE players or "people wth XP" but cant really get XP if I cant never give it a shot to have something on logs. After way too many days managed to kill Imperator Averzian with a pug that stayed together, then disbanded and couldnt kept going.
I know this is like a rant but Im genuinely asking, how is the progression for a tank player for these kind of things? Do I pug my own room and keep trying with randoms until it happens? Is there anything I could do that at least improves my chances other than list the raid and pray until I get logs?
