I'm a new betta fish owner and after a month of having my male betta, he started having rips in his fin. I assumed it was some decorations I was gifted that were too rough so I removed them. I also had plant root tabs that were causing ammonia spikes and giving him fin rot so I got rid of those and did a water change. I noticed he also had scales missing on his face and a scratch on his side near his pectoral fin from what I was assuming to be the sharp coral decoration. I got melafix to treat his fin rot and for his "wound" on his side. After treating him for a week his fins are looking a lot better but his side looks raised still.

Behavior: He's normal swimming around at the bottom and greets me every time I get near his tank. He's not lethargic and still flares his fins and gills at his own reflection. He eats all his food (feedings are once a day and varies between pellets, bloodworms, and freeze-dried mealworms).

These photos are from last night. Idk what it is or what I'm supposed to do from here. Any advice or possible diagnoses?
