Hi all. new here and planning a trip to Lake Tahoe the first week in 12/2026 for my 40th.
Leaving our kids with my parents on the east coast to reuinte with 8-10 of our friends from all over the country.
Ideally, would like to ski / snowboard. (grew up in MA skiing in New England as a kid; eager to experience west coast skiing.)
other agenda items include spa day(s), hikes, running trails/routes.
Our group includes big adventure/activity folks who appreciate craft beers/good wine/ occasional upscale and but mostly casual dining experiences.
Planning to rent a big place to accomodate ~10 adults.
I am excited but need guidance!
Questions:
- What is lake tahoe like in early december?
- any must go to restaurants or activities that Lake Tahoe is known for?
Thank you for your help/guidance!
