I've been a retail buyer for the last 8 years. I would say my strengths are negotiation, data analysis, and vendor management. I am having the hardest time trying to break into this space. I know some of it has to do with the fact that we don’t use RFx or other systems like the people in procurement do, and I also don’t have my CPSM.

I’m wondering what the best way is to show that I have the skill set needed to do the job without having used the systems already in place.

Also last bit- my base is currently 140k w/ bonus is it likely to find a transitional business.
