Why Most Traders Fail Even With a Good Strategy

Most traders don’t lose because they lack indicators or setups.
They lose because of emotions, impatience, poor execution, and weak risk management.

Important concepts worth discussing:
• Trading psychology
• Emotional discipline
• Risk management
• Avoiding revenge trading
• Market structure understanding
• Patience & consistency

Would people here be interested in a detailed educational breakdown/video explaining these concepts with practical chart examples?

Anyone else watching this gold setup get interesting here?

Price just swept down into that lower demand zone around 4660 - 4670 after a pretty clean bearish structure break from the local highs. What catches my eye is how price is slowing right above the “strong low” while liquidity below is still untouched.

Feels like one of two scenarios is brewing:
quick liquidity grab into the blue demand zone → reclaim 4690s → squeeze back toward 4727 - 4740
or
continuation selloff after a weak bounce, especially if buyers can’t reclaim the mid-range quickly.

The projected path on the chart almost looks like a classic “engineer the panic first, reverse later” move. Also interesting that the weak high remains untested while downside liquidity is much cleaner.

Not calling a bottom yet, but this is the kind of area where gold either snaps hard or fully unravels. Curious how others are reading the structure here - accumulation or distribution?

Gold Holds Firm Above 4700 - Buyers Still in Control

Gold is currently stabilizing above the 4700 level, showing resilience after the sharp emotional reaction to the NFP release. The selling pressure has now been absorbed, with strong support forming on dips.

Price is developing a healthy pullback and consolidation structure, indicating that the broader bullish trend remains intact.

As long as price sustains above key support, the upside potential remains open toward the 4780 zone.

Strategy: Focus on buying dips within the current structure while momentum stays bullish.

XAUUSD

Gold may initially create market confusion by trapping both buyers and sellers before revealing the actual directional move.

As long as price remains below **4734**, a short-term liquidity sweep or shakeout remains possible to trap late buyers entering at resistance.

The major demand zone is positioned around **4640–4660** — a region where strong bullish reactions may re-enter the market. This remains the key area to watch for potential long opportunities.

Once price secures a confirmed breakout above **4734**, momentum could accelerate rapidly toward:

**4720 → 4740 → 4760 → 4775 → 4820 → 4850+**

Also remain cautious during low-liquidity sessions. Institutional players often initiate major moves during **Asian session hours** or near the **market close**, when retail participation is relatively lower.

A clean breakout above 4734 could trigger a strong one-sided bullish expansion toward the 4800+ region.

Price is still in a clear short-term downtrend, respecting a descending trendline after putting in a lower high around 4660. The structure shows multiple CHoCH/BOS shifts, but none strong enough yet to fully reverse the bearish momentum.

We’ve now tapped into a demand zone around 4500–4530 (previous equal lows + weak low sweep). The bounce from this area is decent, but so far it looks corrective rather than impulsive. Price is also trading below the 0.5–0.618 retracement zone (~4580–4600), which is acting as resistance.

Bull case:
If buyers can push above ~4585 and break the trendline with conviction, we could see a move into the 4600–4620 supply zone.

Bear case (more likely for now):
Failure to break above the 0.5 fib + trendline confluence likely leads to continuation lower, potentially sweeping 4500 liquidity again or even printing a new low.

Key levels:
Resistance: 4580–4600 (fib + trendline)
Support: 4500–4530 (demand / liquidity pool)
Overall: still bearish unless that trendline + 0.5 fib gets cleanly reclaimed.
