The MPC Sample has me thinking… This could be the most important tool I have on my journey as a songwriter. If you are hating on this device and you don’t have it; you really just don’t know.

Check out my series of MPC SAMPLE | AKAI Pro Videos & Tutorials here - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5F9m5\_1FZhIn-PdbNXuI\_62qJEyiTXrW to see a real longform breakdown on my favorite hardware for music production; everything MPC!

Two features have me really excited about this device and make it a must have for any singer-songwriter, or music producer that is usually on the go. His first feature a lot of people don’t know about and I’ve been covering videos on it.

I wanna talk about automating your projects to give them a bit more variety and life to the music. Any one of the knobs on the MP sample can be triggered or adjusted turning the parameters to your liking while sequence record is enabled. As I’ve said before, I haven’t seen a lot of people talk about this, but it really brings the dynamics to another level with your music production on the MPC Sample.

Another thing that I’m really excited about is the addition of being able to seamlessly export your projects from the MPC sample into the MPC X with firmware 3.8.0. Now it feels like there’s actually a real reason and purpose to always have this device in your bag wherever you go. I’m excited to travel this summer and take this along my journey.

Yes, the MPC sample is a one track and yes, the MPC sample ram can be maxed out very quickly. If you find yourself recording a lot of performances from external sounds I’ve hit that wall before. But now that I know that I can later import these sketches to my MPCXSE I honestly feel like a kid in the candy store with all of my ideas in Voice Memos.

For a singer songwriter, it’s s must have! What do you think? Let me know if you have one and what your experience has been with it? Personally; I love it. Lmk!
