Watanabe/Taguchi shock loss
At the Mexican International the pair lost to Guatemalas WR #92 pairing.
I really thought and believed that this pair would enter a new phase in their partnership. Following on after their Asia Championship Bronze medal. I still think they are a Top 15 pair on their good days, but seemingly they are struggling with consistency.
It isn’t all negative though, rather ironically, this result pushes them to their career high ranking of #32. Allowing them to enter top tier events (S750,S1000).
