Hi everyone,
I just received an email from the University about some major updates starting Academic Year 2026 Term 5 (June 18). It looks like UoPeople is making some big moves to modernize the learning experience.
Here are the two main updates mentioned:
1. New Online Campus: They are transitioning to a more modern and streamlined platform. The email says it will be more intuitive, easier to navigate, and provide better access to materials. I'm personally hoping for a more responsive mobile experience and a cleaner UI compared to the current Moodle setup.
2. Rosalyn Proctoring: Within the new campus, they are introducing "Rosalyn" as the new online proctoring solution. It’s supposed to be more seamless and flexible than the previous systems we've used.
A few questions for the community:
Has anyone used Rosalyn before (maybe at another institution)? How does it compare to ProctorU or Guardian?
Do you think the "New Online Campus" is just a theme update for Moodle, or a completely different LMS?
How are we feeling about these changes happening mid-year?
I’m curious to hear your thoughts and if anyone has more inside info on what the new interface looks like!
TL;DR: New campus platform and new proctoring system (Rosalyn) coming June 18
