Does anyone else experience post-planting depression?

I had a small depressive stint last year after I wrapped planting. It only lasted about a month. Initially I felt off because I had to finish my season earlier than my peers (because I had commitments), and it felt a little like I was missing out…but now I’m thinking it’s more than that.

Anyone else go through this? Is it unavoidable?

I stayed active during that time and even started going to therapy - but still had to grind my way thru it.

Hello, we are a family of 4 (two adults, two teenagers) who are looking for recommendations of what cycle routes are best for August — we have done the Rhine and loved it! But that was in May 2023. Unfortunately, our schedules only allow us to take off for most of August. So we need some suggestions. Here’s our list of wants:

1.) not the Danube (too touristy that time of year)

2.) a route that has a decent amount of campgrounds and villages for food

3.) culture, history, museums are important!

4.) nothing with too much elevation gain like the Alpe Adria.

5.) anywhere where I don’t have to book ahead (except on weekends)

6.) nowhere super busy. I’m just not organized enough to pre-plan accommodations.

7.) we are willing to do multiple routes in different areas as long as we can take a train. Bonus if we end up near an airport!

If you have any suggestions outside of Germany, I’m all ears! (Except the France, as we have visited already)

Thank you so much! I am pulling out my hair trying to find the right fit.
