Anyways I've posted about it a lot before but the draw of the BS is cute, cheerful, fun, and CHEAP. At least IMO. I was just on Cars.com and they had a new 25 BS for just under 24k! Given the reliability issues of these and the fact its one of the "tinfoil twins" at Ford with the Maverick (my term, but they kinda seem like theyre made of tinfoil right? Lol), I wouldn't pay too much. Better to set aside some $ for repairs!
So whats the problem? That underpowered base 3 cylinder :(. And the fact ford restricts the 2.0 to the Badlands upscale Trim. Do the same search on Cars and the Badlands starts at more like 33-34k (and is routinely 40k). for that $$$ the BS in particular loses a lot of appeal to me.
And the Ford Maverick which ONLY has the 2.0 is cheap enough, IIIRC starts around that 25k mark as well. So it's clearly not the engine itself thats the problem.
If only it had the 2.0 for 25k. Or even 27k as an option without having to go to a high trim all around. But This seems to be always the case, what you really want is not priced how you want. Pretty sure they do that on purpose LOL.
