I hate the culture revolving around babies / children

I don't hate kids at all, but I find plenty of adults to be absolutely insufferable when a small child is in the same room as them. Things like America's cutest baby competitions make my skin crawl because all babies LOOK THE FUCKING SAME.

And any corporate advertisement poster with a happy family in it gives me a bad vibe because I know the families in those ads are fake and the adults in those ads are most likely not the kid's real parents.

I know for a fact that children who constantly praised for being young, are going grow up to be egotistical assholes and have a shitty upbringing when they age into their 20s. I have seen it happen in person (in real time) too.

I am not saying I hate babies and children, I do just fine around kids. I am talking about how insufferable other adults can be when a kid is in the same room. People act like they never saw a baby or young child their whole life until that very specific moment.
