So, i lm not sure how to word this question, but i want to take a rectangular board and taper if down on the lengthwise side to a long wedge shape. Is it possible to set up the fence on a jointer to do that? or would it be easier to tilt the table in a bandsaw?

So, the life safety supervisor who hired in on a 24/7 contingency decided that it was affecting his home life too much and filed a grievance with HR to get it changed to a 40 hr a week gig. Now, the second shift/third shift crews have to pick up his slack when he's not there. None of them are certified to take care of the fire panels, and none of them are electricians (also a job requirement). i believe that an Osha certification is required too, but I'm not sure about that.
how much of a legal/safety liability is it to have untrained and uncerted people doing this guy's job after hours? (this is a government setting)
