Hi Reddit,

I've been a part of a team, mostly temps, with a revolving door for over a year now. One common trend I've noticed is that the outbound employees of the revolving door are non-white, while the inbound ones are white.

The problem doesn't end there: the severity of mistakes of the white employees are downplayed, sometimes excused even. On the other hand, non-white team members make those same mistakes (sometimes less severe) and get terminated.

I’ve also seen several high-potential minority colleagues essentially iced out. Instead of receiving constructive feedback or coaching early on, the manager seems to quietly document their mistakes to build a case for termination rather than correcting their ways early on.

A high-performing non-white colleague is currently being targeted by this same pattern. They have performed well so far, and are understandably afraid to speak up. Their work is not bad, but they sometimes make small mistakes that are augmented by the manager.

The company has an "anonymous" reporting portal, but since it requires being logged into the internal network, there is a massive fear of retaliation or the report being traced back to their account.

Any advice on how to bring this to light without going through the manager or their manager?
