I received two offers recently and am still deciding which one to take. I would love to get some insights! (Note: Neither offer allows me to defer.)

Amazon Pros:

Maybe a more prestigious name (FAANG) than TikTok?
Possibly a higher return offer rate (I heard the range was 50%–80% last year).

Cons:

The org seems to be toxic according to blind.
The project is related to AI agents, and I'm not really an ML guy. (Though, this could be a pro that i can apply to MLE roles in ng job search?).

TikTok Pros:

Working on ML Infra, exactly my field, and it seems to offer more technical expertise and career growth if I return, or a better advantage during my new grad job search.

Cons:

Likely worse WLB and late night meetings than Amazon?
Lower return offer rate (I heard it's up to 50% max, and dipped as low as 20% last year).
Chinese-speaking environment.

Company-wise, I would love to experience a FAANG environment and would prefer an American company. However, I feel like ML Infra experience might benefit me more in the long run compared to building agents.

Does a FAANG name open more doors in the future, or does solid internship experience in ML Infra matter more for a new grad/junior role? Thanks!
