Advice needed dad had stroke at 63 I'm super scared

Hi everyone just looking for some advice. To be honest I'm very scared and uncertain about the future of my dad he is a bit older than most people that I see posting on here. He had a stroke 5 weeks and 4 days ago. I just want to ask about his progress and see what you all think and how I can help to push him to his full potential. I'm very lost at the moment. He has been recovering alright but some days are just tough. He had a stroke that affected his right hand side. He couldn't move his leg or arm and his speech was lost. His leg is a bit better now. He has been able to walk at about 1.6kms on the treadmill for a few hundred meters. His speech is still very all over the place he gets a few words out and makes small sentences but it's far from being normal or anywhere near it. His right hand has a bit of shoulder activation but not much. This is the one I'm most scared will never get anywhere near useful. I'm also really scared he will never have any sort of normal life and that he will always have to be cared for 24/7 I'm not sure of anything honestly whether this is good progress or what I should be doing now. Right now he is in rehab he has been there for almost 2 weeks now.

Sorry for the long very badly written message I'm just really lost at the moment any advice from you all would be awesome
