Hi everyone,
I had surgery on my forearm (ulna) on November 9, 2024, and had a plate and screws installed. It’s been about a year and a half now, and overall I’ve been fine.
Recently, I started going back to the gym, and after that I began feeling a weird pain in the middle of my forearm, right where the plate is. The pain isn’t severe, but it’s uncomfortable and kind of annoying. It sometimes feels like a deep ache, slight throbbing, or even a mild electric sensation inside the bone.
I also noticed a bit of swelling in the same area.
Has anyone experienced something similar after returning to workouts post-surgery? Is this normal due to irritation or overuse, or should I be concerned about the hardware?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences or advice.
