It seems obvious that Trump will do everything he can to prevent the midterm elections from being conducted in a free & fair manner.
Tulsi Gabbard, of all horribly compromised people, has seized voting machines from Puerto Rico (doubtless for research purposes), as well as voting machines & ballots from Georgia. I fully expect her to concoct false evidence of vote rigging in 2020, probably with encouragement from her unprincipled "guru" and with practical assistance from her friends in the Russian state apparatus.
It will be the single most dramatic excuse for Trump to try to nationalize the elections.
And in my opinion, that will be the time for a HUGE, long-running, nationwide general strike.
Street protests are good, but they can easily be twisted to his ends, and they don't really affect him or his apologists -- i.e. Republicans in office, who are the only people with actual power to reign him in. Peaceably bringing the economy to a halt puts pressure on them.
