Extra appreciation for the Hobbits
Rewatching the Fellowship of the Ring again for the 50th time and I just have to give an extra shout out to how brave the Hobbits are.
On Weathertop, surrounded by Nazgul, creatures that suck away all hope and courage. Yet Sam is the first to strike, and even when he's knocked away Merry and Pippin still stand between the Nazgul and Frodo. Later in the tomb of Balin when the orcs break through the barrier, Pippin is the first of the group to yell and charge forward. When Frodo appears to be skewered by the cave troll, Merry and Pippin JUMP ON THE TROLLS BACK AND WILDLY STAB IT. Even when Merry is tossed aside you still see Pippin hack as much as he can.
Not to mention Frodo willing to go to Mordor on his own and Sam almost drowning trying to follow him . . . Oh I didn't even start on SAMWISE THE BRAVE.
