Hi, I’m currently working as social media manager in a small company, I started to work a month ago and my boss don’t understand my strategy and seems to doesn’t want understand what I m doing.
To explain, I work for a company that develops ERP software for other companies in a niche sector.
No one before me handled our social media so I wanted to started with facts about our industry and the issues and problems we can encounter, to show that our software is a good option.
In April, the company's anniversary month, my boss organized a contest to win a trip abroad, open to both clients and prospects. I was in charge of promoting it, which I did. However, my boss criticized me for not having described the destination in a travel agency style on social media in a post highlighting the trip. It seems odd to me to talk about the country and give details on a social media dedicated to software.
So I would like to ask you some advice, have you ever meet this type of situation and what did you do ?
