Advice appreciated

I’m based out of the US and come from a DevOps/cloud engineering background working at a Big 4 company.

I recently got introduced to SAP because a team needed help from someone with Terraform/IaC experience for a short period of time. That exposure unexpectedly got me interested in SAP BTP and the broader SAP ecosystem.

My background is mainly Terraform, AWS/Azure, CI/CD, automation, infrastructure, and platform engineering. After seeing how much cloud, governance, integration, and enterprise architecture exists in SAP, it made me curious about the field long term.

For someone coming from DevOps/cloud:
- Is SAP BTP the right path?
- How transferable are Terraform/Kubernetes/cloud skills into SAP?
- How strong is the SAP market in the US for technical/cloud-focused people?
- What roles should someone like me target or learn toward?

Would appreciate honest guidance from anyone who transitioned into SAP from cloud or infrastructure engineering.
