Is there any downside to adding corner braces like the one in the photo, in addition to the normal pegs, to secure pax shelves in place?

I have a pax unit that I have been using as a pantry so I’ve been going over the weight limit. It looks like the side walls are noticeably splaying outward at the front, so I was thinking of adding these to a few of the shelves to give it a bit more structure.

Any issues with this?
