Hi all. I currently have my ESL 5-12 license. I’m planning to start a program to become a Reading Specialist next year, but in the mean time, my school wants me to take the science of reading MTEL in order to obtain my Special Ed license. The purpose would be to teach some reading classes for co-served students. Is that really all it takes to get the license? I thought a program was required.
