I filed my taxes in January of 2025 through TurboTax. I didn’t have any issues with filing and TurboTax said I should receive them by 2/11/2025. I never received them or even a letter in the mail about needing to fix anything. I check the status tracker every week and it STILL says “Return Received”. I finally got someone on the phone in November and they said they were going to look into it because I filed an amended return in April since there was still no movement on my taxes. She said that her manager had to look at it because she wasn’t sure why no one had started to process it. I didn’t hear back so I called again mid January 2026 and after 10 attempts, I spoke with someone who said I needed to schedule an appointment to verify my identity. I never received the letter in the mail because I moved but I went into my local office and verified my identity at the beginning of March 2026. The guy there told me it would take about 1-2 weeks from then to receive my return but I STILL don’t have it. The site STILL says “Return Received”, the automated number still says “We are processing your return.” but I cannot speak with a representative no matter what I try. Does anyone have a solution for getting to someone in the IRS? I work M-F 8am - 5pm so I cannot make it to our local office again anytime soon.
