My dad learned this piece in his childhood (he was born 1960) and he remembers bits and parts of the song, but cannot remember the name of it nor the composer. He thinks it was titled “Pastels” or something adjacent to that, but I could not find anything on the internet regarding this song that sounds like the tune. My dad is also very good at improvisation, so I’m not surprised if he’s changed the melody or added his own melodies to the piece. If anyone knows about this song & wants to leave a comment - my dad and I would be so happy!
