I am looking for a place to stay while visiting Kings Canyon and Sequoia. We usually stay in VRBOs with kitchens to save money by cooking meals, but many affordable options seem to require driving winding switchback roads to reach the parks. Lodging inside the parks appears expensive and doesn’t offer kitchen access. Does anyone have recommendations for affordable places to stay close to the parks? I’m open to splitting our stay between two locations for easier access to each park.
