*READ BODY* Just a goofy ass rant real quick (Pic.. kinda related)
I feel like for every one person that criticizes Death Battle/ A Death Battle, there are 5 more that OVERLY Glaze it or just don't even LISTEN to the person sharing their opinion, prime example, the whole "Bomb Devil" name change. "It's just Death battle testing the algorithm to see wh-" Just.. stop... She was called Bomb Devil once in the manga, or MAYBE twice. It makes... no Sense? Another thing that annoys me is the people who criticize a death battle, say Bakugo vs Reze (using that one as my example a lot huh..) Just barely reached a mil views, and people will IMMIDEINDTLY Say, "It's still 1 million Views!" or "You guys are so bitter! Not every death battle is perfect!" I'm not saying it's WRONG to say these things, no death battle IS perfect, ever, but if a death battle is only getting 1 mil views nowadays, it probably means people just aren't interested in it, and that's okay? I get it, in the Death Battle sub, there WILL be die-hard fans who love and support this series, but it is JUST fine to call a Death Battle shit, or to say that the verdict ruined the episode for you. Thats Okay! Lots of people CAN be dicks about their opinion, but so can the Supporters of death battle as well, they can easily turn the love they have for the series into blatant disrespect for other critiques someone may have. I See this especially with bakugo vs reze, when the matchup was announced people HATED IT, and even if the fight was good (i thought it was a 7/10, some really good moments) That still doesn't excuse the fact that the analysis was done horribly, They bascially used a twitter debate to justify connections, mischaracterized Reze pretty badly, not being helped by dehumanizing her by calling her bomb devil. And whenever i see someone point out this, i always see a lot of people start to say "it was just for fun! Stop being so bitter! not every death battle needs to be peak fiction!" and while you people are right, its also okay to have expectations for a team WE (yes, the FANS) helped fund? People put a LOT of money into the Kickstarter campaign, and, hell yeah, I would want every death battle to be peak fiction? There's nothing wrong with that. Make sure to be civil and respectful, as these are just animated versions of Action Figures slamming into each other!
