Wondering if someone can help me with some advice. I went to my local garden center in MN and they were not super helpful. Are these boxwoods dying from winter burn? Or a disease? 5/6 planted look like this. One of them looks untouched. These were planted in an east facing bed and a south facing bed. The lone survivor was south facing.

East facing bed getting sun until about 1/2pm and south facing getting full afternoon sun. Both beds get hit with our sprinkler system for watering but I’m wondering if I didn’t water them enough before winter

Before the winter I did spray the plants with wilt-pruf.

I’m able to get replacement plants for my warranty but I’m wondering if I should get boxwoods again or swap them for a Japanese spirea. The spirea that my garden center sells is smaller, only getting to be about 2-2.5x2-2.5ft

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I really loved the look of the boxwoods but I don’t know if it was a fluke thing or not, my neighbors have boxwoods and they all look great.

Wondering if someone can help me with some advice. I went to my local garden center in MN and they were not super helpful.

I have two garden beds that butt up to my house. One is east facing and the other is south facing. I live in a new development so the shade around here is minimal. In my east facing bed I had planted two hastas, 2 day Lillie’s and 3 green velvet boxwoods then I left space in the front to plant annuals. In my south facing bed I have 2 salvia, 2 day Lillie’s and 3 green velvet boxwoods. The east bed is 58in deep, the south bed is 38in deep.

My boxwoods in the east bed are basically all toast, they have severe winter burn and more than 2/3 of the plant is dead. My boxwoods in the south bed are a little better. One is basically completely untouched. The other two had about half of the plant succumb to winter burn.

Before the winter I did spray the plants with wilt-pruf.

I’m able to get replacement plants for my warranty but I’m wondering if I should get boxwoods again or swap them for a Japanese spirea. The kind that my garden center sells is smaller, only getting to be about 2-2.5x2-2.5ft

I’m looking for suggestions on wedding band ideas to pair with my engagement ring.

My engagement ring is a

- 3 stone ring

- Yellow gold band

- I think… white gold? prongs/basket

- 3 carat elongated cushion (brilliant)

- .5 carat emerald cut trapezoids

My initial thought would be just a solid gold band with the squared off edges? To keep it clean and simple but I also I wouldn’t be opposed to something with a little flair in the instance that I only want to wear my wedding band. I acknowledge my ring is large and is pretty sparkly, so I don’t want to take away from that or have it be TOO much!
