A customer attempted to purchase a gift card, but an error message appeared on the screen stating “not activated.” The system also displayed a negative amount deducted from the total balance. Despite this, the transaction was completed. Both the printed receipt and the online receipt reflect the correct amount; however, the customer’s bank account was still charged as if the gift card transaction had gone through. Is this a bank issue ?
