Am I grounding my son properly?
Today my son stole my whole box of wintergreen colored capacitor chewing gum, so I choosed to ground him.
Am I doing correctly?

an ugly skinny guy on a electric kickscooter was driving super fucking fast on a pedestrian road.
Right after I finished warming up my AK 550 and tried to enter the main street, i was able to notice that scooter guy that is literally flying there.
This is where all of this shit happened.. I needed to slam the brake to avoid making that scooter guy a friggin meat crayon.
Right after the bike stop, it dropped itself, luckily it seems like it didnt hit the ground that hard - only a muffler cover and fairing.
Brake got somewhat spongy after drop but now its back to normal feel, and no other difference on incident when it comes to overall handling.
Am i fine? Is it an expensive damage? Is there a way to repaint, or cover this damage? Can it be done myself?
*Local law prohibits those kickscooters to be driven on a pedestrian road, while private parking lot is often connected with it. Legally I am a victim here and dont worry I was able to call a police right after the incident and filed a report. I am pretty much sure that most countries have the similar road law system
