Just picked up my first BMW ever x5
What’s up everyone, my name’s Lang and I’m officially entering the BMW world for the first time. I recently picked up this 08 X5 as my new daily driver and honestly I’m excited to learn the platform and build it into something clean and reliable.
The truck has around 174k miles, so I already know maintenance is going to be a big part of the journey. My goal isn’t to build a race car — I’m aiming for an OEM+ Euro street style look. Clean fitment, updated lighting, tasteful mods, good wheels, solid suspension, and keeping it looking factory but upgraded.
Right now I’m looking for recommendations.
I also plan on documenting the entire journey just for fun — maintenance, upgrades, styling, road trips, mistakes, fixes, and everything in between. This build is also going to be part of my upcoming content channel, so I’m looking forward to connecting with other BMW owners and enthusiasts along the way.
