I've been shopping around for my first car and was having a bad experience with marketplace. Theres a dealership thats selling a 2010 touring for 7k plus tax and the mileage is sitting at 119000km. I want this car to last me a good 7+ years.

They did a 55 point inspection. I think the brakes were changed and the suspensions, they replaced the links, right inner and outer tie rod, white wheel bearing and did an alignment. About 2k worth of servicing.

I think it's a good car but my brother in law thinks thats too much to pay for an "old car". He hasn't said anything about the mileage or condition of the car, so I'm looking for an other opinion. I dont know much about cars but I don't think age should be the main factor when it comes to the price.

There is some rust around the car in some small spots that is going to cost me about 700$ plus to fix. They did bring down the price to 6.5k plus tax, but could it be more?
