Me (Canadian Citizen) and wife is on PGWP. We have been in relationship since 5 years and we were staying together for 2 years.
Today we are applying for her PR Sponsorship. I just realized that we should have shown that we were common law. But we filed taxes as single for 2025. Married in Jan 2026.
So now shall we apply for PR in what way? Our addresses will show that we were staying together for last 4 years (not true). She used my addresses to send docs to my addresses. So does she mean that I must show that we are in common-law?
Do we need to check that we both were in common-law previously?? What is the hell is this common-law shit. I am scared that I might misrepresent if we not show that we were not common-law.
So what to do now?
