Mazda 3 2019 AT hesitation
Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2019 2.0 AT (122 hp) and I’m trying to figure out if this is normal behavior or something I’m doing wrong or an actual problem with the car.
It only happened in stop and go traffic.
Example: I’m driving around 30 km/h, the car in front brakes so I brake too and slow down to about 15 km/h. I’m still moving there’s some gap in front of me and when I press the gas pedal hard to accelerate again nothing happens for 1–2 seconds.
It feels like the engine and transmission stop communicating for a moment like power gets cut completely but everything else in the car keeps working normally.
This happened 3 times so far. I tried to reproduce it on purpose, but I couldn’t.
I have an appointment with the dealership at the end of next week, but I wanted to check here first if anyone has had the same issue or knows what it could be.
TL;DR: In stop and go traffic, when slowing down but still rolling (around 15 km/h), pressing the gas sometimes causes a 1–2 second delay with no acceleration at all. Happened 3 times, can’t reproduce consistently. Anyone had this?
