When I made Verso (word processor) I did it because I needed it, and wanted it.
Of course I thought, they come in pairs, right? Word processors and spreadsheets. So I made both. Kind of.
But it was like one of those reddit stories where one child is the golden child and the other one is... fine. Present. Technically alive. In reality, neglected.
That's what happened to Nought (the spreadsheet one).
Creating a spreadsheet app when you're not a spreadsheet user is... well, kinda dumb. But I didn't want to make anything special. Just a basic tool for people like me who open Excel from time to time. So here we are. I did it. It's free. But it's also rough and I need feedback. Probably a lot of it.
I already got some really good feedback from someone: "after downloading Nought, I simply do not get its concept." OK, those might not have been the exact words. The gist was closer to "it's shit." But I think I've fixed the basic issues since then. I think.
So if you use spreadsheets and have a free moment, I'd love to hear what you think.
