Hey everyone,

I’m currently a first-year Pharmacy student at UKZN, however my first choice was Medicine. I’ve recently applied to transfer to MBChB at UCT, and have a few questions.

If anyone has any Medicine transfer stories or any advice/tips, please could you guys share. Anything from what they look at, what average etc.

I’m not really sure how the UCT transfer works, or what they really look at. I know my matric results, but is it as equal weighting to my university results?

I’m also unsure about NBTs, will UCT continue to look at them or not? I watched a YouTube video of an interview with a transfer student, and he stated that they did not look at NBTs as highly as matric learners, since the whole point of the NBTs is to test your readiness for university, and the transfer students results are testament of that.

Please guys any knowledge, information, absolutely anything at all will be HIGHLY appreciated.

Thank you so much 🙏
