Hello 👋🏻 Looking for a little advice.

I just recently had my first implant placed, 2/27/26 - so I am roughly 2 months in. I am coming from a low dose combo pill - I was on that for probably 5 or so years (differing brands) and have been on other pills prior as well as a few years of depo in my early 20s. I’m now 33.

Within the first few days of placement, I had some spotting which was in line with my scheduled withdrawal bleed based on where I was with my pill. I did continue taking active pills for 7 days after insertion based on my dr’s recommendation. I spotted off and on for the first 2 weeks, usually just a day or two here and there, very light and only once had bright red blood. My last spotting day was about March 24th then nothing until April 18th. Had some light spotting and then nothing the next day. My “period” then started on the 20th and I have been bleeding since. It’s nothing major, I use discs and overnight there’s hardly anything in the morning, very little brown blood but in the evening, there’s a bit more and it’s a dark red. Again, the bleeding is by no means heavy, lighter than my normal withdrawal bleeds on the pill except for the duration.

I’ve been reading about EPO and considering trying it. My only wonder is if I should go ahead and wait out the 3-6 (sometimes 8 recommended) months for adjustment before I try anything to curb the bleeding. Obviously a personal choice but wondering everyone else’s input and experiences?

Again, this is the first actual bleed I’ve had, at least that I consider, since starting on nexplanon so I’m still trying to stay positive as it’s really just more of an annoyance than anything!
