My neighbors have a relatively young pitbull I want to say she’s almost 2 years old. They also have a little Irish dog and German Shepherd Husky mix. Last year when they first got her we had all our dogs on our respective sides of our fence (Metal fence with spacing in between), and she got really fence territorial with their Irish dog and pinned it by its neck thrashing it around. Poor guy had to get stickers and wear cone, I figured that was the last we’d see of that pitbull but no.
They kept the dog and now they only let the pitbull out by itself and the Irish and German mix out together. A few months ago the pitbull bit our other neighbors dog on the nose from our neighbors dog trying to smell her through the fence. Once again no action was taken by the neighbors on their pitty. My family has small dogs that can squeeze through a fence, so we put a mesh up to prevent that.
I’m sitting outside and take my eyes off my dogs for a moment and I didn’t know the pitbull was out she snuck up on the fence and tried to nip at my small buschon shitzu mix. I freaked out and might’ve cursed a lot among the lines of “This is why we can’t have our F-ing dogs out” and yatta yatta. Because we have been nervous to let our dogs out back for this reason. This pitbull is super agressive and untrained. We’ve tried making a schedule to let our dogs out at certain times so ours don’t get a attacked but they didn’t follow with it. I really don’t know what to do at this point, this dog has always been aggressive even when other dogs aren’t near the fence she’s posts up there with her hairs sticking up on her back.
