Came across the BotLink 2.4GHz ELRS V1 while looking for a budget ELRS receiver.

Specs look decent (ESP32 + ExpressLRS support, 2.4GHz antenna), and the price is pretty reasonable compared to other options. Thinking of using it for a basic freestyle build.

Has anyone here used it?

  • How’s the range and signal stability?
  • Any failsafe or reliability issues?
  • Worth it vs other ELRS receivers?

Saw it on Botlab store they seem to have a good collection of parts, so just checking if this one is actually solid or not.

Planning my first proper build and confused between Botlab Store, SpeedyBee, and Holybro flight controllers.

From what I’ve seen:

  • SpeedyBee looks easiest (Bluetooth + simple setup)
  • Holybro seems more premium/reliable
  • Botlab I recently came across their store actually has a good range of parts in one place, which makes things easier for beginners

For a beginner build, what would you guys pick?
Stick with SpeedyBee or go for Holybro/Botlab?

Would love some real feedback

I’m building a drone for my college project and I’m confused about components.

Is it actually worth spending more on premium parts (motors, ESCs, flight controller), or are budget components good enough for a stable build?

I’ve read that a good FC + ESC stack helps avoid issues, but not sure where to invest and where to save.

Also, where do you guys usually buy reliable drone parts in India?

Would appreciate any suggestions on: What parts are worth spending on?

What can be budget-friendly?

Apart from that: I did some research on Google while planning my build, and I’ve seen sites like SpeedyBee, Botlab store, and Holybro mentioned quite a bit for drone components.

If anyone here has experience with these (quality, reliability, delivery, etc.), would love to hear your feedback
