I am 18. Who will be joining college soon. I wanna start learning coding before my college start. So can someone guide me for it?

So I was thinking to give nmims cet for btech this year. I just wanna ask is it worth it?

Cause I have heard that campus life is not that good and its mostly for rich spoiled brat and not so good coding culture.
