I love TF knives. I like to personalize them. I understand the Wabi Sabi, and some might look at the finger rests kind of like "training wheels" but I like them. I like them so much I add them to everything from Victorinox to Takeda knives. I added them to the 2 TF Nashiji and the TF Marboroshi Nakiri as well. They just felt wrong without them. I also flatten the blade roads because no matter how well I dry them or keep them oiled, they start to corrode at the cladding lines. I think they finish with a 320-grit belt or something! Moisture gets trapped in those heave scratches on that reactive White#1 steel and it rusts. Polishing helps.
